The Axiom Network Connector is a fiber optic attenuator designed for single-mode optical links where signal power needs to be reduced. In short cable runs, fiber signals can remain too strong at the receiving end, which may lead to receive saturation, distortion, and disruption in data transmission.
This attenuator helps lower fiber optic signal power in controlled increments, making it easier to fine tune fixed return loss within your network. It is suitable for single-mode applications across wavelengths from 1260nm to 1620nm.
Common applications include CWDM, DWDM, test equipment, CATV systems, and point-to-point network environments. Additional features include ion doped fiber attenuating material, UPC and APC precision polishing for reduced back reflection, high precision ceramic ferrules, and a snap-in body for fast, secure connections.
